Exchangeable Image File (Exif)
Exif (Exchangeable Image File) is a specification for the image file format used in digital cameras. Exif uses JPEG or TIFF Rev. 6.0 file format and adds specific metadata tags for indication of date and time information, camera settings, copyright information etc. If camera has a built-in GPS receiver location information can be added as well (geocoding).
The Exif tag structure is analogous to the structure of TIFF files.
