About 3rd Generation Partnership Project 2
A multimedia container format for use on 3G mobile phones (CDMA Based Phones).
3GPP2 was established in December 1998. Its scope is to make a globally applicable third generation mobile phone system specification within the scope of the ITU's IMT-2000 project. In practice, 3GPP2 is the standardization group for CDMA2000, the set of 3G standards based on earlier 2G CDMA technology. May have filename extension .3g2 The largest manufacturers of mobile phones are Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and LG. |
