About Run Length Encoding file
RLE (Run Length Encoding) is a simple form of data compression in which runs of data (sequences in which the same data value occurs in many consecutive data elements) are stored as a single data value and count, rather than storing the same colour over and over again. RLE is most useful on data which contains many runs (icons or line drawings).
Actually RLE files are DIB files compressed with one of the RLE compression routines.
