Audio means sound recording and reproduction, i.e. the electrical or mechanical inscripting and re-creating sound waves. Usually it is used for voice or music.
Digital sound recording improved the effectiveness and quality of sound reproduction. Especially important was invention of CDs, and such recording formats as WAV (digital music file) and MP3 (compressed file type). Now the process of making a recording consists of tracking, mixing and mastering. |
