About Excel
MS Excel is a spreadsheet application developed for Microsoft Office system.
Excel provides calculation, pivot tables, graphing tools and a macro programming language Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). The filename extension of the default Excel format is .xls . As a rule MS Excel versions can also read CSV, DBF, SYLK, DIF, and other formats. Since the MS Excel 2007 version a number of new formats is used. They have the following file extensions: .xlsx (Excel Workbook), .xlsm (Excel Workbook with macro support), .xlsb (Excel Binary Workbook), .xltm (a template with macro support) and (Excel Add-in). |
