About Blu-ray Disc
Blu-ray Disc is a high-density optical disc format to store digital information and high-definition video.
The Blu-ray Disc technology uses a shorter wavelength (405 nm) than on the standard DVD format, thus a Blu-ray Disc (BD-RE) can store 25 GB instead of 4.7 GB (for single-layer discs). Blu-ray Disc players support MPEG-2, H.264/AVC, VC-1 for video, and Dolby Digital AC-3, DTS, linear PCM for audio. |
