About OST file
OST is a filename extension for a file type associated with Microsoft Outlook. OST files are generated for storing the content of the user's mailbox on the local hard drive. The purpose of it is the off-line use of data.
In the versions earlier than Office XP the OST file size was limited to 2Gb. Office 2003 has a new format for the file (20 Gb size). |
