About DBT file
DBT is the file format for memo fields in dBase (database management system).
Memo fields are 10-byte pointers into .dbt files which can include text fields much larger than 254 characters (the size of character fields in dBase). The abilities of dBase to work with memo fields are rather limited, however some other xBase languages (for example Clipper) process memo fields as strings like character fields in all situations excluding permanent storage. |
