About MPEG-4
MPEG-4 is a standard used primarily for compressing audio and visual digital data.
MPEG4 is the designation for a group of audio and video coding standards agreed upon by the Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG). MPEG-4 absorbs many of the features of MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 and other related standards, adding some new features, however individual developers decide whether to implement them. MPEG4 enables different developers to create objects with a better adaptability and flexibility to improve the quality of such technologies as digital television, animation graphics and their extensions. MPEG4 consists of a number of standards termed "parts". |
