About Real Audio Metadata file
.ram (RealAudio Metadata) is a file format which is used as link from web pages instead of direct link to a RA (RealAudio) file. RAM is a small text file containing a link to the audio stream. When a user clicks on such a link, the user's browser downloads the .ram file and launches the media player which reads the URL from the file and plays the stream.
